Checking Out

Although we do a thorough professional cleaning between each guest stay, we would be very grateful if you help us with the following chores before you check out. It helps us get through our housekeeping processes quicker and allows us to keep maintenance costs as modest as possible for our guests.

• Strip the beds of all used linens and place DRY linens on top of the washing machine in the garage

• Hang all DAMP towels on the towel racks in the bathrooms to dry

• We would be very grateful if you ran a laundry cycle for any used large towels; alternatively, we ask that you hang all damp towels on the towel racks in the bathrooms

• Clean all used dishes and kitchenware; do not place any plastic or wood/bamboo kitchenware in the dishwasher as they may melt and/or warp

• Wipe any major food messes or spills from the floor or the kitchen counter

• Empty the trash and recycling bins from the kitchen into the outdoor bins located in the latched enclosure next to the driveway

• Please make sure all faucets, showers, cooktop burners, toasters, ovens, and coffee maker are turned off and the refrigerator doors are firmly shut

• Ensure that the outdoor gas grill propane connection is in OFF position

• Double check that all fires in wood-burning stove and fireplace are completely extinguished

• Draw blinds to windows where available, latch all doors and windows and replace the dowel pins if removed

• Set the thermostat to the OFF setting

• Turn off TV and all other audio equipment

• Lower the hot tub temperature to 80*F

• Assemble all your luggage and belongings on the front porch before loading your car to leave

• Leave the vehicle hangtags and ID passes on the dining room table

• Please leave the house key on the dining room table.

• Switch off all lights and lock the main door behind you

If you accidentally break anything or experience any appliance or device malfunction, please let us know so that we can schedule a repair/replacement before our next guests arrive.

While you still have internet access, we suggest checking for route delays, detours and road closures before embarking on your next destination.
