Be sure to park in the driveway, as the Sea Ranch Association regulations prohibit cars parking along the sides of streets and roads. Once you park, proceed through the gate to the courtyard leading you to the main door.
To gain access to the concealed lockbox:
Step One: As you face the front door, look to the left of the door and locate a wall shingle with a handle that looks different than the other wall shingles. This is actually a door covering the lock box for the key.
Step Two: VERY CAREFULLY grab the door handle (which is magnetically attached) and it will reveal a lock box containing the house key. You will also find a small flashlight next to the box, if needed.
Step Three: Open shingle door to reveal the dials and the release button. Rotate dials to the four-digit code combination you were provided. Press down on the release button to open the door.
Step Four: Pull the door fully open, remove key, close the compartment door and restore the shingle cover. Note: please leave the key on the dining room table upon your final departure from the home.
Before you take your shoes off, we recommend that you unload your belongings from the car and assemble them on the front porch. We follow a strict no-shoes policy inside the house, so gathering all your belongings on the front porch will save you from having to change into and out of your shoes repeatedly when moving your things in.
Feel free to leave your shoes at the front door.
Carrying your bags into the room--instead of rolling them in--will avoid any scratches on the natural hardwood floors.
On the dining room table you will find six personal identification tags for your wallet and two vehicle hangtags. Be sure to display the hangtag on your vehicle's rearview mirror or dashboard, or your vehicle will be subject to citation and immobilization.
Carry your pass with you when hiking the trails. The passes must be shown to enter any of the recreation centers. Guests staying with members should obtain vehicle tags and passes from their host.
Please be sure to leave the passes and vehicle hangtags on the dining room table upon departure as there is a replacement fee of $100 per pass and per vehicle tag.
Adjust the Honeywell thermostat to a comfortable temperature; we just recently installed a high efficiency furnace with high MERV rated filters.
While you're at it, turn the thermostat for the hot tub, just off the master bathroom suite, to a comfortable 104*F.
You are all set for a wonderful stay at Vista Del Mar!
Print the home access Instructions page before you leave home. Because cell phone reception in Sea Ranch is iffy, make a copy of the attached step-by-step instructions so you’re good to go when you get here Prior to arrival, you will be sent the lock box code detail to your cell phone via text. If you plan to arrive after dark, please make sure to have the flashlight app on your phone handy; the Sea Ranch community has no streetlights.
